Artist Hubert Massey’s massive new fresco mural inside Cobo Center in downtown Detroit will be unveiled tonight.
Near the entrance to the Grand Riverview Ballroom, “Detroit: Crossroad of Innovation” focuses on the city’s global role in innovation and the city’s role in building the African-American middle class .
It’s along the lines of the famed “Detroit Industry” murals at the Detroit Institute of Arts.
The new work is being unveiled at a private event, followed by a public event on Sept. 23.
