Former Riverview Police Capt. Donald Meyer and former Fire Lieutenant Scott Brighton have been charged in a time card fraud scheme.
Meyer and Brighton reportedly submitted falsified time cards for a little over 20 thousand dollars in unearned wages from December 20th 2013 through March 3rd 2018.
An investigation by Riverview officials reveal that Meyer and Brighton inflated the hours on the their time cards.
Meyer and Brighton were terminated last month.
Each have been charged with one count of larceny by false pretenses a 15 year felony and one count of receiving a concealing stolen property a 10 year felony.
Meyer and Brighton will be arraigned today in 27th District Court.
