Witnesses Stop Their Cars To Save Couple In Fire

3 men, driving in opposite directions, are credited with saving a Sterling Heights family from a fire that was growing at the family’s house on Hartwick Drive and 19 Mile.
When firefighters got to the scene, the attached garage of the home was already on fire, and the flames had spread into the house.

But, because of the father and son, and another man who were driving and saw the flames on top of the house, and stopped, the older couple who lives there was out on the lawn when the fire department got there.
They all went to the door— kicked it in— and got the older couple out. And they called 911.
The fire fighters saved the house, which has a lot of damage.
