A Waterford Township woman is due in court today in the murder of her husband.
51 year old Tina Talbot had dialed 9-1- 1 just before noon on September 14th and told the operator that she shot and killed her husband.
When police arrived at the home on Meadowwood Drive, they found her 45 year old husband’s (Milos Szczpeanowiwicz) body in the back yard.
A semi-automatic handgun was also recovered.
The couple’s 7 year old son was in the home, but was not hurt.
He is being cared for by family members. He is severely autistic.
Police have not said what led to the shooting, but family members of the woman say she had been dealing for years with physical and mental abuse of the husband. They say he had threatened to kill her and the son.
