Drivers who had owed too much from tickets or fines under the old law and were stripped of their licenses, can now apply to have them reinstated.
Anyone applying between today and the end of the year will not have to pay the normal reinstatement fee.
Secretary of State officials say they have hired more clerks to deal with today’s expected increase in customers.
