Hard Rock Detroit Band Re-Nominated For Hall

Stevie Nicks and Def Leppard are among the acts nominated to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for the first time.

So is the MC5. the 1960’s band, out of Lincoln Park, was known for “Kick Out The Jams” from one of their 3 albums.

15 acts were nominated this year. Six of the nominees are being put before voters for the first time. Nicks is already in as a member of Fleetwood Mac, but this time will be considered as a solo act. Roxy Music, John Prine, Devo and Todd Rundgren were also nominated for the first time. Radiohead, Janet Jackson and the Cure are among the acts coming back for another try.
The MC5  has been on the ballot several times and failed. Two of their members have died.
