Voter Polls Get Closer

Political races are tightening in Michigan according to the latest poll taken for the Free Press.
Gretchen Whitmer leads Bill Schuette 46 to 41 percent.
In the attorney general race, the Free Press poll says this race is tied, 39 percent each for Democrat Dana Nessel and Republican Tom Leonard. The secretary of state race has tightened, according to this poll, with Democrat
Jocelyn Benson leading Republican Mary Treder Lang 40 to 36 percent.

All of these races are much closer than the previous poll. The Free Press poll is taken by EPIC-MRA, who has worked with Democrats.
A poll released Monday by M-R-G, which is a Republican leaning firm, showed the Democrats with much bigger leads. That poll has Whitmer leading Schuette by 14 points.
