D 1 Discount Days are underway this weekend in the city of Detroit’s District 1, in the northwest corner of the city. Councilman James Tate represents that district and says businesses in the area will offer deals all weekend long in an effort to get people who live in the neighborhood to shop local. He says the businesses will also get to know their neighbors and their needs.
