Funeral plans have been made for Daryl Brown, a retired Sterling Heights police officer who was run over and killed in Detroit.
Visitation for Brown will be Wednesday and Thursday at the Wasik Funeral Home in Shelby Twp., and the funeral mass will be Friday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church.
Sgt. Brown was the husband of Macomb County circuit judge Jennifer Faunce and the father of two. He was on the force for 26 years.
Authorities say Brown was hit by a drunk driver as he was crossing Jefferson Avenue early last Friday morning. Police say the driver, identified as Jimi Pierowich, attempted to flee, but was arrested.
