A Pontiac man is being held on a one million dollar bond on a charge that he tried to set his wife on fire.
Police say 48 year old James Montgomery admitted to spraying his wife with brandy and setting her on fire during an argument on Saturday.
His wife remains in critical, but stable condition with second-degree burns covering 45 percent of her body.
He’s due back in court on January 29th.
