Construction crews were working at the site of the old Packard Plant when the bridge over East Grand Boulevard collapsed on the roadway.
Crews have been working to clean up the wreckage.
No injuries were reported. It’s not clear how long it will take to reopen the road.
A security guard noticed pieces of the bridge were crumbling—- and onlookers say it was lucky no one was under it.
Arte Express company owns one building the bridge was connected to and the city of Detroit owns the other.
