Tlaib Remark Spawns Uproar, Censure In Fla.

A flap in Florida over Rashida Tlaib, and remarks by a local official.
A city commissioner in Hallandale, Florida is under fire for saying that the congresswoman from Detroit might blow up Capitol Hill.
Commissioners voted 3-2 to condemn Anabelle Lima-Taub’s comments in a meeting as critics and supporters of the Hallandale Beach commissioner held demonstrations outside City Hall.

The uproar began earlier this month after Tlaib made national news with the comment about Pres. Trump, “we’re gonna go in there, we’re gonna impeach the …..”

Afterward the local commissioner, Lima-Taub, posted a petition calling for Talib to be removed from Congress… calling Tlaib an anti-Semite with no place in government, and added, ” She is a danger and (I) would not put it past her to become a martyr and blow up Capitol Hill.”
The commissioner later took down the post.
Lima-Taub told the commissioner meeting her remarks were aimed at Tlaib, and she did not condemn Islam. She does not apologize.
