Detroit-3 Help Out With Cold

General Motors has stopped work at a dozen different manufacturing sites to help utilities deal with the cold. They include
Orion Assembly, Pontiac Stamping, Flint Assembly, Flint Stamping, Flint Engine, and Flint Tool & Die,
Lansing Delta, Warren Transmission and the Warren Tech Center.

Ford has lowered temperatures as the Livonia Transmission Plant and Van Dyke Transmission Plant to minimum levels. They also stopped heat treatment at the Sterling Axle Plant and stopped paint process and parts of stamping operations at the Michigan Assembly Plant in Wayne.

Fiat Chrysler canceled the first shifts at its Warren Truck and Sterling Heights Assembly plants.
