Fake Hate Crime Case In Court

A court hearing is scheduled today in Jackson County Circuit Court in the case of a transgendered gay rights activist who has been charged with setting his own house on fire.

The fire in 2017 destroyed the home of 54 year old Nikke Joly.

Two dogs and three cats also perished in the blaze.

Many said it was a hate crime because of Joly’s gay rights activism.

Fire officials were quick to rule the fire the work of an arsonist, but the investigation into whom might have been responsible took over a year to complete .

Supporters were shocked when they found out that Joly was arrested and charged with first-degree arson.

Many refuse to believe he was responsible.

A hearing to file motions in the case is scheduled to be held today.
