State Police are busy looking for distracted drivers—- texting, eating, reading,— on M-59. Operation Ghost Rider has officers in unmarked cars spotting distracted drivers, and they radio ahead to the marked cars, then they pull you over.
The last time they did “Operation Ghost Rider” police handed out hundreds of tickets and made 34 arrests in only 18 hours.
“Operation Ghost Rider” uses unmarked spotter vehicles, with a passenger who is a police officer. When the spotters observe a distracted driver, they radio a fully marked unit to pull ’em over.
