Plans for the future of the
soon-to-be closed
Northville Downs harness racing facility
is one step closer to the starting gate.
Members of the Northville Planning Commission has given there ok to a proposal that would call for the construction of 53 homes, 183 townhouses and 300 apartments along with 18-thousand square feet of retail space that would include a parking deck and a parking lot.
The plan also includes creation of a park, traffic improvements and space for the city’s farmers market.
Citizens have been concerned about how any new development would affect the area.
The plan now goes to the Northville City Council for discussion.
