Abortion Petitions Okayed In Michigan

MICHIGAN VOTERS WILL GET TO weigh in AFTER TWO SEPARATE BALLOT INITIATIVES WHICH WOULD RESTRICT ABORTION IN MICHIGAN WERE GIVEN THE OK TO COLLECT SIGNATURES. ONE would ban dilation and evacuation, or D&E, abortions.
A separate initiative would ban doctors from conducting abortions after a fetal heartbeat is detected.
The groups would need a little more than 340,000 signatures to qualify for the ballot.
