Clerk Shoots At Chip Thief, Hits Innocent Man

A Detroit gas station clerk shot at a man who stole potato chips, but hit an innocent customer instead.
It happened at the Shell gas station on West Warren and the Southfield freeway.

The victim was leaving the gas station when someone else swiped several bags of chips.

The 27-year-old clerk came out from behind the counter, and fired a shot through the glass door.

The innocent customer was hit in the chest. He’s in temporary serious condition.

Police arrested the clerk and the man who stole the chips.
