Republican congressman Paul Mitchell had a surprise announcement… that he’s not running for re-election.
Mitchell fought back tears on the floor of the House, saying that Washington is worried about politics and winning elections, instead of solving the nation’s problems.
Mitchell has represented the 10th District in Macomb and St. Clair counties. He is in his second term in the U.S. House.
