Catholic Schools Closed, Police Probe Threat

An investigation into sports hazing at De La Salle Collegiate High School in Warren has the administration pulling the football team out of the playoffs and canceling the season. The Pilots were scheduled to play a state playoff game tonight.

A student was arrested for bringing a knife to school.
Police say a threat of a shooting during mass prompted the cancellation of classes today.
Classes are also canceled at Regina Hi in Warren and catholic Central Hi in Novi.

Late Thursday afternoon, Warren police were at the school because a 17-year-old student brought a knife to the school to protect himself from bullies. That teenager was arrested. De La Salle had been scheduled to play a state playoff game tonight.
