The answer— Tesla is way ahead of the pack in electric vehicles. While the U-S E-V market is still an embryo, the Tesla Model 3 is one of the top sellers in Europe and gaining everywhere. Tesla is now building cars at a new plant in China, ahead of schedule.
Analysts say Tesla is far ahead of the legacy automakers in battery technology because Tesla started sooner, and doesn’t have to invest in gasoline-engine vehicles.
Tesla creator Elon Musk also has the biggest wallet of any auto executive. His shares of Tesla stock made a gain of 4 pt 6 billion dollars, overnight.
