Oakland Road Agency Precautions

Here is the official news release:

In light of concern about the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), the Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) encourages the public to connect with the agency remotely if possible.

“As a cautionary measure, we are encouraging members of the public to contact us online, via e-mail or by phone as opposed to in person if possible,” state RCOC Managing Director Dennis Kolar.

Anyone can place a service request or ask a question of the agency via the Road Commission Website, www.rcocweb.org – simply click on the “Report an Issue” button at the top, center of the site homepage. This will lead to a form that residents can fill out with any type of service request or question. The form will be forwarded to the appropriate Road Commission staff, and a record of the request will be kept on file. Where appropriate, those submitting forms will receive either a phone call or e-mail response.

Anyone can also contact the Road Commission by phone toll free during business hours, 7:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., Monday through Friday, at 877-858-4804 or via e-mail at [email protected]. Additionally, a large amount of information about RCOC operations, policies and procedures is available on the RCOC website.

“We take online, e-mail and phone contacts just as seriously as we do in-person visits,” Kolar noted. “And we encourage everyone to follow the state’s safety protocols and avoid unnecessary contact.”
