TCF Center Set As Virus Hospital

The T-C-F Center will open tomorrow as a field hospital for corona virus.
The giant MASH unit will take virus patients from Henry Ford, Beaumont, Detroit Medical Center, and McLaren hospitals, and other acute-care hospitals in the region. The governor’s office says each of these health systems will provide the staffing and resources.
25 patients will be sent to T-C-F tomorrow.
Lynn Torossian, former CEO of the Henry Ford West Bloomfield hospital, will lead the management team.
Daniel Medrano will run day to day operations. Medrano runs facilities management for McLaren.
Jenny Atas will lead medical services. Atas is the coordinator of the Regional Trauma Network.
T-C-F will take in patients who have been in hospitals for at least 2 days. It will not include patients who need to be on ventilators. It has been transformed by the US Army Corps Of Engineers and workers from other agencies.
