Two teenagers tried to swim across a lake. One made it. Divers recovered the body of a 17-year-old boy missing in Lake Minnewanna at the Hadley-Metamora Recreation Area in Lapeer County. He has been identified as Troy Paxton of Flint. The two boys tried swimming across the lake. Paxton got tired and couldn’t make it all the way. Dive teams and a boat with sonar were called in and Paxton’s body was recovered a few hours later. He was a recent graduate of Kearsley High School.
