Back To School Amid CV; More Than 1,000 New Casrs

State Senators will meet over the weekend to discuss a series of “back to school” bills already passed by the House.
School districts have just one day left to finalize their plans for the fall. The state House plans to convene Monday.
Many metro Detroit teachers say they’re worried about being able to social distance in school, given how many district parents want their students to learn face-to-face. But nearly all of the districts we’ve heard from plan to start with remote learning. Many Republicans want to tie school funding to allowing parents to have the option of sending their kids to in-person classes.Another issue is making sure students have equal access to technology for remote learning.

MICHIGAN HAS SURPASSED THE 90,000 CASE MARK WITH THE ADDITION OF 1,121 NEW CASES OF COVID 19.THERE WERE 16 NEW DEATHS, 9 WHICH WERE FOUND AFTER A REVIEW OF RECORDS. THE STATE DEATH TOLL STANDS AT 6,289. SO FAR MORE THAN 63,000 PEOPLE HAVE RECOVERED FROM THE VIRUS IN MICHIGAN.

THE STATE POSITIVITY RATE STANDS AT 3.5 PERCENT.
