BREAKING NEWS: Police Searching for Homicide Suspect in Southfield

Incident Details: On Sunday, March 31, 2013 at approximately 2:17 a.m., the Southfield Police Department received a report of gunshots fired at Myst Ultra Lounge, 28875 Franklin Road, in the city of Southfield. Upon arrival, officers located a female inside the establishment suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim, Nicole Riggs, a 33 year old female from Oak Park, was transported to William Beaumont Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

 The investigation of this incident is on-going and has revealed that several subjects were ejected from the club following an altercation. A short time later, an unknown person or persons fired gunshots from the parking lot into the establishment. The victim was killed by one of these gunshots.

 The Southfield Police Department is requesting the assistance of the community in identifying a “person of interest.” This individual was involved in the altercation with security personnel and is one of the subjects that were ejected from the establishment. This individual may have information about the shooting.

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of $2,500.00 for information received through the 1-800-SPEAK up anonymous tip hotline that leads to the felony arrest of the person(s) responsible for this crime.
