DETROIT, January 17, 2023 ~ According to sources, Hall-of-Fame pitcher, three-time World Series champion, and Bally Sports Detroit broadcaster Jack Morris will not be part of the Detroit Tigers broadcast team for the upcoming 2023 season.
Neither Bally Sports Detroit nor Morris have made any comments on the matter. It is unclear if the separation was mutual, though Bally Sports Detroit has been cutting budget since 2020, while Morris has expressed interest in spending more time with his son, a highly-recruited pitcher in his senior season of high school.

January 17, 2023 ~ 760 WJR Sports Analyst Steve Courtney talks to Paul W. about Bally Sports and Jack Morris allegedly separating this year.
(CONTINUED) Jack Morris pitched in the MLB for 18 years, for the Detroit Tigers from 1977-1990, and joined the ranks of the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2018, with the Tigers retiring his jersey that year.
Sources say Craig Monroe — who mainly broadcasts during pregame and postgame segments — will take over Morris’ analyst role.
Monroe played for the Tigers from 2002-2007 during his nine years in the MLB, and started his contributions to Tigers’ broadcasting as a studio analyst in 2012.
