DETROIT July 16, 2023 ~ The Detroit Tigers will kick off their 2024 season with a showdown in Chicago.
The Tigers’ 124th season features 81 games on their home turf of Comerica Park. Detroit will open the 2024 season on March 28 against the Chicago White Sox, marking the 21st time the Tigers and White Sox have faced each other on opening day.
Following three games against the White Sox, the season-opening road trip continues with three games against the New York Mets from April 1 – 3. The Opening Day celebration at home is slated for Friday, April 5 against the Oakland Athletics.

(CONTINUED) The Tigers will face each MLB team next season, including eight interleague series hosted at Comerica Park. The St. Louis Cardinals (April 29 – May 1), Philadelphia Phillies (June 24 – 26), and the Los Angeles Dodgers (July 12 – 14) are among the national league teams slated to visit Detroit next season.
In addition to playing ball, Comerica Park will host special theme nights, fireworks, giveaways, and more throughout the season.
