Michigan Childcare Services Face Funding Drop Off Sept. 30

Aug. 2, 2023 ~ Federal funds from the COVID-19 pandemic are set to disappear for childcare services across the country, with many Michigan childcare centers facing a funding cliff.

Industry experts are concerned about the upcoming Sept. 30 funding cutoff, and how it might affect an industry marred by thin margins and minimum wages. The Century Foundation‘s Director of Women’s Economic Justice Julie Kashen talked more about her concerns.
