Wayne County to Create Real-Time Air Quality Monitoring System

Aug. 3, 2023 ~ Wayne County residents will soon have a comprehensive air quality monitoring system, with alerts sent out when quality gets poor.

The county recently began a three-year initiative to set up 100 air monitors throughout its communities to detect nitrogen dioxide, ozone, black carbon, and other particulate matter. WJR Senior News Analyst Lloyd Jackson spoke more about the plan to allow residents to see real-time information on air quality.
