Aug. 15, 2023 ~ Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan and City Council President Mary Sheffield recently awarded 45 grants for neighborhood improvements throughout the city.
Grants ranging from $500 to $15,000 were awarded to Detroit neighborhood associations, block clubs, faith-based organizations, and nonprofits as part of the city’s Neighborhood Beautification Program. WJR Senior News Analyst Lloyd Jackson spoke more about the grants on “JR Morning with Guy Gordon.”
