Aug. 21, 2023 ~ A notable Detroit journalist is saying the 16 Michigan Republicans facing charges from a fake elector scheme were key to former President Donald Trump‘s attempt to overturn the 2020 election.
ML Elrick, Detroit Free Press reporter and Pulitzer Prize winner, spoke on 760 WJR‘s “All Talk” about a column he wrote regarding these Republicans. He said it is “irrefutable” that they signed documents falsely reporting to being electors in an attempt to win Michigan for Trump, though whether prosecutors can prove criminal intent has yet to be determined.
