Aug. 22, 2023 ~ The Michigan Board of State Canvassers approved a recall petition Monday against a State House Democrat.
The petition, which aims to recall State Rep. Sharon MacDonell (D-Troy) over her vote on a recent red flag law bill, can now start collecting signatures from voters. The board rejected five other petition requests against House Democrats due to unclear motives for recalling them, and one was withdrawn.
Mark Brewer, the attorney representing the House Democrats facing recalls, spoke on 760 WJR‘s “All Talk” about the recall efforts.
