University of Michigan Launches AI Tools For Students and Faculty

Aug. 23, 2023 ~ The University of Michigan recently announced a custom set of artificial intelligence models that will be available to all students and professors.

Believed to be one of the first universities to offer such services, three AI models will be available for free for a short time at the start of the new school year. UofM Vice President for Information Technology and Chief Information Officer Ravi Pendse spoke on “JR Moring with Guy Gordon” about how the models will be used and addressed concerns over misuse of the services.
