DETROIT, Sept. 19, 2023 ~ As the targeted UAW strike enters its fourth day, negotiations with Detroit‘s major three automakers seem to continue to move slowly.
UAW President Shawn Fain said in a Facebook video Monday that more plants would see strikes if “serious progress” was not made by Friday in negotiations with Ford Motor Co., General Motors, or Stellantis NV. The union is pushing for high wage increases amid record profits for the companies, along with a 32-hour work week.
