Michigan Couple Shares Their Experiences Near Gaza Strip as Civilians Caught in Crossfire in Palestine and Israel

ISRAEL, Oct. 11, 2023 ~ As the war between Israel and Palestinian militia group Hamas rages into day five, civilians on both sides continue to get caught in the crossfire.

As of Wednesday morning, about 1,200 people in Israel, including 14 U.S. citizens, have been killed, along with over 100 civilians being taken hostage by Hamas. In the Palestinian territory of Gaza, at least 950 people have been killed by Israeli airstrikes, including between 150-250 children.

One pair of civilians caught in the middle of the conflict is Oak Park, Michigan natives Eddie and Susie Kresch, a couple who is currently in Israel.
