Farmington Hills Man Charged with Making Terroristic Threat Against Palestinian Americans

DEARBORN, Oct. 16, 2023 ~ A Farmington Hills man has been charged with making a terroristic threat after allegedly posting on social media asking people to “hunt” Palestinians in Dearborn, the largest Arab-American population in the U.S.

Carl Mintz was arrested Thursday evening and arraigned Saturday on one count of a felony threat of terrorism and a misdemeanor charge of malicious use of a telecom device. This comes as antisemitic and Islamaphobic threats in the U.S. continue to rise amid the ongoing Hamas–Israel war, including an Illinois landlord being charged with a hate crime on Sunday on accusations of fatally stabbing a six-year-old Muslim child.
