SAY Detroit will celebrate its 13th annual Radiothon Fundraiser on Thursday, December 12, at the Somerset Collection North Grand Court in Troy!
Hosted by best-selling author and philanthropist Mitch Albom, who founded SAY Detroit in 2006, the day’s events bring together the people who benefit from the charity, famous folks who wish to call attention to them, and people who wish to help. Since its first broadcast in 2021, the annual events have raised nearly $12.5 million, with funding going to support the nonprofit’s programs and projects.
Albom and radio co-host Ken Brown will be on the air for 15 hours, starting at 6 a.m. and broadcasting until 9 p.m. on 760 WJR, and live streaming on MitchAlbomRadiothon.com, ClickOnDetroit.com, and Freep.com. You can also watch on your smart TV through the My Michigan TV app.
Dozens of celebrities scheduled to join Albom include Hugh Jackman, Tim Allen, JK Simmons, Jane Pauley, Dr. Phil, Steven King, Anderson Cooper, Alice Cooper, Hank Azaria, and Brian Williams, all “zooming in.” Many other special guests will join on-site, including jazz guitarist and vocalist John Pizzarelli, plus WJR, local TV, and sports personalities.
