MICHIGAN, Jan. 2, 2024 ~ Michigan is now the nation’s leading marijuana market, reaching $2.8 billion in sales in November 2023 and is expected to push past $3 billion for the total year.

The Mitten State pushed past other cannabis heavy-hitters like California and Colorado in 2023, topping its 2022 sales figure by half a billion dollars, according to Crain’s Detroit Business magazine. However, the industry was still marred by falling cannabis prices, falling from $500 an ounce in 2020 to just $80.16 in January 2023.
