Schools Close Across Michigan on Jan.17 Due to Frigid Weather

MICHIGAN, Jan. 17, 2024 ~ Frigid weather and wind chills forced school districts to close across Michigan Tuesday and Wednesday as single-digit temperatures continue to dominate the state.

Districts from West Michigan to metro Detroit closed schools due to the potential of frostbite and other concerns with low temperatures, with wind chills reaching as low as 2o degrees below zero. More snow storms are also expected to blow through Michigan on Thursday and Friday.
