DETROIT, Feb. 12, 2024 ~ The Detroit Sound Conservancy has been diligently restoring a historic jazz club on Detroit‘s west side.

The Blue Bird Inn at 5021 Tireman Ave., which saw performances from legends like Miles Davis, John Coltrane, and Sarah Vaughan, was abandoned in the early 2000s before being purchased by the nonprofit in 2019. The plan is to bring it back to a working performance venue.
