Jaylen Bradley, policy and program advisor of the Community Violence Intervention at the City of Detroit Mayor’s Office, is a resilient and growth-oriented individual who has navigated significant life changes during and after the global pandemic.
His journey has led him to diverse and enriching spaces in his professional, educational, and career paths. Notably, Jaylen was selected from a competitive pool for a paid role in the White House Internship Program, where he immersed himself in the Office of Scheduling and Advance, supporting the President of the United States.
Additionally, he completed an NAACP fellowship in Ghana, representing Michigan and Detroit. Along these journeys, Jaylen has built strong relationships, learned from mentors, and found fulfillment in public service.

His advice to his 20-year-old self? Stay humble, embrace life’s ride, take detours when necessary, and create lasting memories while brightening someone else’s day.
