Whitmer Opens Michigan’s Growth Office to Tackle Slow Population Growth

MICHIGAN, June 23, 2024 ~ After dispanding the Growing Michigan Together Council, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer launched a new state office to help with Michigan‘s lagging population growth.

The office, called Michigan’s Growth Office, launched last week to tackle Michigan’s population woes, which ranks 49th in the nation in terms of population growth. The office will apply the recommendations of the council to try and improve that state’s population growth.
