Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker is often seen proudly wearing Detroit merchandise. Born on October 30, 1996 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Devin grew up in the city and attended Grandville High School before transferring to Moss Point High School in Mississippi to further his basketball career. At Moss Point, he became a standout player, earning numerous accolades and catching the attention of college scouts.
Devin went on to play for the University of Kentucky, where he had a stellar freshman season. His impressive performance led to him being selected 13th overall in the first round of the 2015 NBA Draft by the Phoenix Suns.

(CONTINUED) Since entering the NBA, Devin has consistently demonstrated his talent and dedication. In his nine-year career, he has been named an NBA All-Star four times (2020, 2021, 2022, 2024) and was a key player in leading the Suns to the NBA Finals in 2021. He also made history by becoming the youngest player to score over 60 points in a game, finishing with a Suns franchise record of 70 points against the Boston Celtics in 2017.
In addition to his NBA success, Devin represented the United States at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, where he won a gold medal. Now, he is set to represent his country once again on the biggest stage in sports, competing in the 2024 Paris Olympics. Team USA will take on Serbia to start group stage play on July 28.
