MICHIGAN, July 31, 2024 ~ U.S. Sen. Gary Peters (D-MI) may be in the mix for Kamala Harris‘ vice president pick for her presidential campaign.
Peters has been sidestepping questions this week on whether he is being considered for her VP slot, following a report from Axios suggesting he may be a “dark horse” pick. When asked by WJR‘s Guy Gordon how far he’s in the VP vetting process, Peters said, “There’s a process going forward, and I respect the process that the vice president has. There are a lot of folks being talked about, and we’ll just see how this plays out. But whoever is selected, I will be fully supportive of that VP candidate, and certainly, I’m very supportive of Kamala Harris.“
