Rep. Debbie Dingell Reacts to Harris Choosing Tim Walz Ahead of Detroit Campaign Stop

Aug. 7, 2024 ~ Democrat presidential candidate Kamala Harris is receiving praise from many corners of her party after picking Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz as her vice president, including U.S. Rep. Debbie Dingell (MI-6).

After Harris brought out Walz for his first rally as the VP nominee Tuesday evening in Philadelphia, many conservatives have attacked his progressive record as governor. However, Dingell rejected the word “progressive” as an attack on Walz on WJR, saying, “If you want kids not to be in school and be hungry, and make sure every child has food in their stomach as they are learning, I don’t think that is progressive. I think that is a value.
