DEC RISING STARS HONOREE | KYLIE GRINWALD

Kylie Grinwald is a dedicated and accomplished professional currently serving as a Management Consulting Senior Analyst at Accenture. Since joining the Detroit Economic Club (DEC) in January 2023, Kylie has actively contributed to the community through various volunteer roles. Her journey to Detroit has been marked by a passion for entrepreneurship and a commitment to supporting local businesses and students.

Kylie’s academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University. During her college years, she was deeply involved in the entrepreneurial ecosystem, serving as Chief Operating Officer for two early-stage student-led startups. This experience honed her skills in human resources, project management, and operations, which she has carried into her professional career.

Aug. 13, 2024 ~Chris sits down with one of WJR and Detroit Economic Club‘s Rising Stars, Kylie Grinwald, a management consulting senior analyst. After graduating from Cornell University and moving to Detroit, Kylie joined the DEC, where she learned the value of networking and found the inspiration to support those with entrepreneurial spirits.  


(CONTINUED) Upon moving to Detroit, Kylie quickly immersed herself in the city’s vibrant entrepreneurial scene. She has been a key player in Accenture’s skills-based volunteering initiative with TechTown Detroit, where she managed a team to support finalists in the annual TechTown Detroit HATCH entrepreneurship competition. Her role involved coordinating efforts from over ten Accenture team members to assist four Detroit-area entrepreneurs in opening brick-and-mortar locations.

In addition to her work with TechTown, Kylie has made significant contributions to the utilities industry through her role at Accenture. She has supported clients in implementing grid modernization solutions, ensuring these systems are functionally sound and user-friendly. Her expertise in business process design and testing management has been instrumental in driving successful project outcomes.

Kylie’s commitment to mentorship is evident in her volunteer work with local universities. As a first-generation college graduate, she understands the importance of guidance and support for students. She has volunteered through the Oakland University School of Business ACHIEVE program, providing mock interviews, networking opportunities, and career coaching. Her dedication to fostering the next generation of professionals is a testament to her passion for giving back to the community.
