DETROIT, Aug. 12, 2024 ~ During a Friday rally in Arizona, Democrat presidential nominee Kamala Harris responded to pro-Palestinian protestors that “now is the time for a ceasefire” in Gaza.

This differed from her response to pro-Palestinian protestors the night prior in Detroit, who responded to chants of “we won’t vote for genocide” with “If you want Donald Trump to win, say that. Otherwise, I’m speaking.” Her messaging on Israel‘s bombardment of Gaza may prove pivotal in her bid for the White House, considering the swing state of Michigan‘s high Arab American population. Large pro-Palestine protests are expected at the DNC Convention in Chicago next week.
