Transportation Secretary Buttigieg to Join Biden in Ann Arbor for Executive Order Signing

ANN ARBOR, Sept. 6, 2024 ~ U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg will join President Joe Biden Friday afternoon for a new executive order signing on new labor standards.

Buttigieg will join Biden in the Ann Arbor area for the signing, with the executive order giving federal grants to projects that have labor agreements, established wage standards, and guaranteed benefits. He told WJR that, “You got a lot of families that are facing the challenges of the 21st-century economy, and we’ve got to invest in a future that’s going to create a little more certainty, security, and breathing room for families trying to plan the future.
