EAST LANSING, September 6, 2024 ~ After defeating Florida Atlantic 16-10, Michigan State Football (1-0) will hit the road for the first time this season to face the Maryland Terrapins.
A strong defensive showing highlighted the Spartans first win under head coach Jonathan Smith. The MSU defense recorded seven sacks, 10 tackles for loss, and two interceptions. Seven sacks marked the second highest total in FBS last week.
On the opposite side of the ball, sixth year running back Kay’ron Lynch Adams led the way for the green and white. The UMass transfer reached over 100 rushing yards, featuring a 63 yard touchdown run.

(CONTINUED) Maryland most recently defeated UConn 50-7 for their first win of the season. Michigan State leads the all-time series 10-4 over the Terrapins, but are currently on a two game losing streak. They have won three times and lost twice in Maryland.
Kickoff is set for 3:40 p.m. ET in College Park at SECU Stadium, debuting conference play in the Big Ten for both squads.
